Terms of Service

Pip is operated by Sumlane UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Marie-Curie-Str. 33, 40721 Hilden, Germany (managing director: Felix Kerlin, registered at Amtsgericht Düsseldorf, HRB 76223). Contact: support@guidedaiforkids.com.

Pip is a parent-managed AI chat application for children. A parent or legal guardian creates an account, adds child profiles, and links the devices their children use. Children chat with an AI companion called Pip within rules set by the parent, and parents can review conversations and safety events.

We may change, extend, or discontinue features over time. If a change materially disadvantages you, we will announce it in the app in advance.

• You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of each child you add.
• During registration you confirm your parental consent. You are responsible for every child profile and linked device under your account.
• Children do not create accounts. A child device is linked with a join code or directly by the parent, and can be unlinked by the parent at any time.
• Keep your sign-in credentials and parent PIN confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

• Pip requires a paid Pip AI subscription ($9.99 per month) after a free trial of 3 days. Prices may differ by region and are shown before purchase.
• Billing is handled exclusively by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Their payment terms, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules apply.
• You can cancel anytime in your store subscription settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
• A subscription covers one family: all child profiles and devices under your account.
• If a payment fails, access may be paused until the store resolves it.

You agree not to:

• use the service for anyone other than your own children or children in your legal care;
• attempt to bypass safety filters, parental controls, or technical limits;
• probe, attack, or overload the service, or scrape it in bulk;
• use the service to produce, request, or distribute unlawful content;
• misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a child.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, in particular where a child’s safety is involved.

Pip’s answers are generated by AI models. We design, filter, and moderate for children, but no automated system is perfect:

• Answers can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable despite moderation.
• Pip does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice.
• Pip is not an emergency service. In urgent situations, contact local emergency services.
• Parental controls support, but do not replace, parental supervision. Review your child’s conversations regularly.

The app, the Pip character, and this website are owned by Sumlane UG (haftungsbeschränkt). You retain the rights to content you and your children create; you grant us the limited right to process it to provide the service.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under mandatory law such as the German Product Liability Act. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties (Kardinalspflichten), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Beyond that, liability is excluded.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance and third-party dependencies (app stores, hosting, AI providers) may cause temporary outages.

You can stop using Pip at any time and request deletion of your account and data via support@guidedaiforkids.com. Cancelling the subscription does not by itself delete stored data. We may terminate accounts for good cause, especially after repeated or serious violations of these terms.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr; we are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.

If we change these terms, we will inform you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
